FIRE crews cut a casualty free from a car crash.
Two cars had been involved in a smash in St Andrew's Avenue, Colchester, just before 9pm on Wednesday.
One person was trapped.
Firefighters were able to free the casualty within an hour and left them in the care of the ambulance service.
The road was closed while emergency services worked at the accident scene.
Two ambulance crews were sent to help.
A man, believed to be in his 50s, was treated at the scene for a possible neck injury. The patient was taken to Colchester Hospital for further treatment.
