A man has been arrested following an incident in Shoeburyness where a man was assaulted.
The man in his 60s was assaulted inside an address in Avon Way, Shoebury at around 2am today (Sunday, November 11) and was taken to hospital with head injuries.
A 38 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent and theft.
He is currently in custody.
Scene of Crime Officers, in white forensic suits were at the house from late last night until about midday today and witnesses reported them carrying out several items in evidence bags.
The man in his 60s is believed to be the homeowner.
