Traffic is back to normal after two crashes caused severe delays this morning.
Commuters were experiencing severe delays after two separate crashes on a major road.
The first crash happened just after 8am on Eastern Avenue between Hamstel Road and Fossetts Way on the westbound side of the carriage way.
The second crash took place a few minutes later on the same road but near Cuckoo Corner and Ennismore Gardens.
Police and ambulance crews were on scene but the severity of the crashes are unknown at this time.
Traffic was queued back to the Tesco roundabout on the A127 and back to the Waitrose roundabout for drivers heading out of Southend.
However, the traffic has now returned to normal as the crashes have cleared.
