AN Ibiza-themed party will be held to raise money for a hospice which cared for a Burnham woman as she bravely battled cancer.

Bar 3 in Station Road, Burnham, will host the event in memory of Johannah Patmore who died in April just two days after her 56th birthday.

Johannah was diagnosed with cancer in November 2017 and was admitted to Farleigh Hospice earlier this year.

The event on Saturday will be held to raise money for the hospice.

Johannah’s daughter Ellie, 23, said: “The staff were amazing at the hospice and they became friends rather than just nurses.

“They constantly had a positive attitude and helped my mum and my whole family.

“Mum's room was amazing. She had a lovely decking area that we were able to push the bed out onto.

“We had one of the bigger areas, which had its own kitchen and living room, which was perfect for us as we are quite a big family and where in there every single day from the early morning until late at night.”

Bar 3 will host the event from 7pm and will play Ibiza classics all night as well as serving cocktails.

People are invited to arrive in beach dress.

Entry is £2 and will go straight to the hospice.

Ellie added: “The Ibiza beach party will be a great way to raise money for Farleigh hospice and a lovely dedication to my mum.

“Farleigh Hospice are a wonderful charity and I couldn't have asked for my mum to have been in a better place.

“They made her last final weeks comfortable and peaceful.”

Sean and Karen Boyle, from Bar 3, said the team hoped the community would come out to support the event.

She said: “The feedback has been really good so far, as Johanna was very well known in the area, and it is still gaining momentum.

“There will be lots of beach-themed things like limbo, cocktails and fancy dress.”
