TRAVELLERS have pitched up on Southend seafront.
Several caravans have been spotted parked up.
It is not clear if the travellers are the same ones which have been moved on from St Mary’s Church, known as St Mary’s Green, in North Shoebury Road.
Martin Richardson, owner of the Happidrome arcade, said: “They all just bounded up in vans and parked on the pavement. Kids were jumping out of the way. We called the police but they still hadn’t arrived 45 minutes later.”
Martin Terry, councillor for nearby Thorpe ward said: “It normally takes one to two days to get enforcement action but they will be moved on.”
