TODAY sees the return of the world’s largest travelling traditional fun fair - Carters Steam Fair - to Chalkwell Park.

The famous vintage fun fair will be coming to the park in Chalkwell Avenue, Westcliff, with a line up of beautifully restored rides.

It sticks around until Sunday April 3.

On Saturday at 9pm, the fair also holds a free firework display.

This event is brought to you by Southend Carnival Events, and is raising funds for the Southend Mayor's Charity, the carnival procession and other local charitable causes.
