Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under
Sections 84(1) (a) and (2) and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order: To introduce a 20mph Zone on the following lengths of Brick Road, Kiln Way, Sandy Crescent (former Star Lane Brickworks site), Great Wakering in the District
of Rochford:
Road Description
Brick Road,
Great Wakering
From its northern junction with Sandy Crescent, southwards to its southern
junction with Sandy Crescent including its spur on the eastern side.
Kiln Way, Great
Wakering
From its junction with Sandy Crescent, southwards and eastwards to its
junction with Brick Road, including its spur on the west side.
Sandy Crescent,
Great Wakering
From a point approximately 15 metres east of its junction with Star Lane,
eastwards, southwards and westwards for its remaining length, including
the two spurs on the northern side and the spur on the eastern side.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic)
Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under
Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Vernon Avenue, Rayleigh in the District
of Rochford from its junction with London Road for a distance of approximately 27m in a
northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th March 2018 for 27 days,
or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231001957 – Highways UK Ltd). The scheduled
dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on
www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce
while footway works are undertaken by Highways UK Ltd.
An alternative route is available via London Road, Pearsons Avenue, Cheapside West and
vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 1st March 2018 and may continue in force for 18 months or until
the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(High Street, South Benfleet)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic)
Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from
the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of High Street, South Benfleet in the
Borough of Castle Point, from its junction with Station Road to its junction with Ferry Road,
a distance of approximately 99m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 25th March 2018
for 6 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30034785917 – UK Power Networks). The
scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed
on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce
while electric cabling works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Station Road, School Lane, Essex Way, High Street,
Ferry Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 15th March 2018 and may continue in force for 18 months
or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Delhi Road, Pitsea)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic)
Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under
Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Delhi Road, Pitsea in the Borough of
Basildon, from its junction with Rectory Road to its junction with Crest Avenue, a distance of
approximately 435m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th March 2018 for 5 days,
or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2238849 – Essex County Council). The scheduled
dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on
www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce
while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Rectory Road, Crest Avenue and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 1st March 2018 and may continue in force for 18 months
or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(New Road, Hadleigh, Benfleet)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic)
Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from
the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of New Road, Hadleigh, Benfleet in the
Borough of Castle Point, from its junction with Rectory Road for a distance of approximately
213m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 26th March 2018 for
5 days (road closure in place between 10:00-15:00 only) or where stated on a valid permit
(EP201EH2239534 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works
with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is
required for the safety of the public and workforce while removal of build out and road signage
works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via New Road, London Road, Rectory Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 15th March 2018 and may continue in force for 18 months
or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
