ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) (NESS ROAD, NESS ROAD DEAD LEG (PROMENADE ROAD) AND NEW BARGE PIER ROAD) (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF PAY AND DISPLAY PARKING

& INTRODUCTION OF PARKING FOR COACHES, DISABLED BADGE HOLDERS AND TAXI DROP OFF POINT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2017

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Southend-on-Sea Borough Council (hereinafter referred as "the Council") acting as the local traffic authority and in exercise of its powers under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all other enabling powers, intends in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order which will introduce Coach and Disabled Badge Holder Parking as below in connection with the Poppies: Wave Event to be held at Barge Pier Gunners Park Shoeburyness. Coach Parking Area on the south side of Ness Road 40m east of the projected eastern kerbline of Waterford Road eastwards for a distance of 140m Disabled Badge Holders Parking Area on the north-west side of Ness Road Dead Leg (Promenade Road) from approximately 30m south-west of the south-west kerbline of Shoebury Common Road south-westwards for approximately 70m Existing Pay and Display parking bays will be suspended for the duration of the event Taxi Drop off point in New Barge Pier Road

The temporary prohibitions imposed by the Order will come into effect on 12th April 2017. This Order shall remain in force for the duration of the event which is due to end on 25th June 2017. The restrictions are required in the interests of road safety to members of the public.
