ATHLETICS: Basildon hosted the latest round of their Eastern Young Athletes League campaign in extremely warm conditions.

The team finished a solid third in the match with the under-15 girls winning their age group convincingly.

Personal bests were being achieved all over the place along with major placings as follows: Under-13 girls - 1,500 metres A: 1, Maisie Jones ( 5mins.06.9secs) PB; B:1, Isobel Ives (5.25.4).
