Zach Inwood, in the space of eight days, produced PBs in the 1,500m — with an impressive 5mins.04.0secs (G3 moving him up to second on the age group ranking list) — a 5.80metre shot and a G4 discus of 18 metres. Josh Mann earned a discus PB at the same event of 10.36 and a further new best in the 100 (16.3). His hat-trick of PBs was completd by a 2.32.1 800 taking him up to G4 and leading the ranking list so far this season. The youngsters of the under-15 age group were similarly disposed towards PBs and national standards. Tinashe Mutsure ran herself into the records when she clocked a 10.4 75 — a club age 12 record. When she ran the 200 that too, at 28.9, was a best, as was her 100. She and Rebecca Withams both clocked an identical 13.7 – also Rebecca’s best and her G4 13.1 saw another PB in the 75 hurdles.
But it was a G3 for Shannon Mackie in the same event for a 12.7 effort. Later she clocked her fastest 200 (29.1). The boys run 80 hurdles and both Tom Watts and Paul McCluskey produced best-ever efforts.: Watts’ 12.1 is a G1 and Paul’s 12.9 a G3. Versatile Joe Beard has improved his 200 to 28.5, 800 to 2.23.6 and his high jump to 1.50. Kyle Marshall ran a sprint PB double: 12.4/25.0 100/200 – and both at G4. Alex Masterson produced his best 400 to date with a G3 56.2 and Scott Tansley sailed over 1.51 in the high jump for the first time in his life. Jake King claimed an age 15 club record too with a very nippy 11.2 in the 100.
