IT was a good weekend for Castle Point Joggers as they claimed the Club of the Year award at the second anniversary of the Basildon Parkrun.
They were handed the award for the most number of runners (95) and, at the Orion 15 on Saturday, they had five finishers.
They were Ray Selwyn in 122nd (2h 22m 12s), John Sweeney 180th (2h 32m 30s), Cliff King 194th (2h 43m 39s), Brian Butcher 290th (3h 14m 14s) and Ray Vautier 291st (3h 14m 14s).
Castle Point had two runners taking part in the Richmond Half Marathon, with Martin England finishing in 1h 36m and Daniel Hobbs who landed a PB in 1h 42m.
