Cabaret stars appear in video after X Factor described acts as "too cabaret"

CHEEKY cabaret stars have found a creative way to hit back at criticisms of their much-loved performance style.
Duo Frisky and Mannish, fed up with X Factor hopefuls being turned down by judges for being “too cabaret” dreamt up an idea to set the record straight.
The pair enlisted performers from across the country, including Westcliff’s Lili La Scala and The Boy With Tape on His Face, to create a YouTube video.
Called “Too Caberet: A message for Gary Barlow” the tongue-in-cheek clip has already received thousands of views.
Lili La Scala appeared in the video with her husband, The Boy With Tape on His Face, holding the words “too cabaret”.
She said: “It was coming to our attention that all the panel, not just Gary Barlow, whenever they saw something they didn’t like used the word ‘cabaret’ in quite a derogatory way. The cabaret scene is filled with some really world-class performers.
“Frisky and Mannish mentioned something on Facebook and we thought rather than just talking about it on Twitter we would do something. For those of us that couldn’t be there, we sent in pictures.”
