If it's the Station Road near the Elms, should that not be "close to Waitrose" ? Hasn't been a Co-op for some time now - who researches this stuff?

I suppose you would also wonder if it was a young driver, a female driver, a foreign driver and the only time you wouldn't wonder was if it was a middle-aged man who was born in this country.
Funnily enough, both times I have been hit (not my fault) it was by a middle-aged Englishman!

Perhaps we should ask the author of the comment what they think may be the relative number of road deaths caused by an elderly driver in comparison to the number caused by twenty-something drivers. Even allowing for a greater proportion of the younger drivers, I expect the figures will be in favour of the older drivers. I expect insurance premiums will also bear this out.
Also, I wonder whether the poster will remove himself from the road when he reaches that age, whether or not he has all his faculties, simply because "you have to wonder"!
