Police have appealed for information after a woman was assaulted on a footpath in Westcliff.
The woman was walking along Victory Path between Britannia Road and Chalkwell Avenue at about 7.50pm on Sunday January 15 when a man approached her from behind.
She screamed loudly as the man tried to grab her. He then turned and ran off towards Britannia Road. The woman was badly shaken but uninjured.
The attacker is believed to be white and had an Essex accent. The victim, who is in her 20s and lives in Westcliff, did not see his face and was unable to give any further descriptions.
