Pleaded guilty and given a slap on the wrists. Why? Was she the daughter of someone high up? Doubt it, wonder how the victim feels about this...

And Gina! A 19-year-old is an adult, not really a girl robber.

That second paragraph also makes no sense... Sentenced sentencing, Basildon Crown Court on after...

What is the point of relying on our criminal justice system IT IS A FAILURE THANKS TO BLAIR AND HIS WIFE !!

This cretin should serve the very minimum of 6 months, the **** probably left court laughing and will forget it within the hour, the aggrieved will live with this for years.

Brunning, how is it a failure due to Blair? Seriously, the Conservatives have been in power for 18 months now, plenty of time to instruct the judiciary to be tougher when it comes to sentencing. There is nothing in the Criminal Justice Act that prevents judges from handing down a custodial sentence for a crime like this. In fact to the contrary. It has provisions for punishment and protection for society.
If this judge has failed to identify that a thuggish woman who feels it is acceptable to threaten a fellow citizen with pliers whilst robbing them deserves to be punished, and society protected from her, then what can Blair do now?
Surely it is up to Cameron and his Home Secretary rectify it?

No fixed abode. Does that mean she was living on the streets, or just didn't want to disclose where she was living.

If you type Avoids Jail into the echo search facility you will find the reason why there are so many criminals on the streets.

Another scumbag, slapper let off to do it again. If I ever get a parking ticket, maybe I can just plead guilty and get away with it. What a sick country this is.......

Easily answered

1. He introduced a sentencing policy of halving sentences.

2. He backed by Cherrie Blair introduced the European Human rights catastrophe.

3. He devalued the seriousness of a criminal offence by allowing a fixed penalty ticket for crime..

4. His government turned the Police Force into a Police Service.

5. He introduced Health and Safety regulations which has turned this country into a fearful of being sued situation.

6. He introduced No Win No Fee law which has destroyed any possibility of folk becoming involved or helping anyone thro fear of being sues.

Finally he made prisons into Hotels with Human rights for non Human monsters.

And he appointed many Judges thro he back door who are former left wing members of the Student Union who all agree in making future left wing policy, together with the BBC.

The list is endless !

I would like to let you all know the fact as this journalist who put this on here has got a lot wrong! Yes she did a very bad think and I for one are really is thinking for the young girl involved, and I hope she has gotten over this horrid ordeal, but what this dosnt tell you is that miss Lankin did go to jail for 4 months on remand whilst they were trying to work out what to do due to the fact she has mental Health problems! This paper should not have been aloud to print this it's unfair, it's unfair on miss Lankin who is trying to sort her life out and her family (with only a sister no other famliy to look after her) who is trying to help her.

Now as the sister of miss Lankin who works a full time good job, is not a sponging single mum, who is getting marred and uses all her spare time trying get kala help with the problems she has with not a lot of help from social services (who kala is still under) or other family members, would like you all to know that she has asked the editor to take this off there web site due to it doing more damage then good!

I never understand when people make a comment on calling people scum or any other name from the information that may be portrayed from another person about a incident that occures. the girl made a mistake she also pleaded quilty to the incident.

when will people realise to not see things in just black and white. respect to sasha leigh for being straight to the point and showing the support for her sister. to show and admit she done something wrong is to be ther bigger person.

I hope in the future that Kala Lankin will get the full help from social services and already her sister is doing all she can to help. instead of barraging people with insults how about seeing how you can make a different. you all act like people dont make mistakes, we all human at the end of the day. therefore we are capable of making mistakes. telling me all of you that are so judgemental are perfect yeah.

give me a break.....
