PUPILS from a Rayleigh school accepted an award for winning a marketing competition.
In January, Rochford District Council funded a business challenge day for students of FitzWimarc School in Rayleigh, King Edmund in Rochford and Greensward College, Hockley.
Pupils were set a challenge at the Freight House, Rochford, to rebrand and advertise Ballards Golf Club, which is being refurbished following a fire.
A team of four year 9 pupils from FitzWimarc won the competition.
Sam Blacklaws, Liam Gloster, Harry Carter and Bradley Durrant were presented with their award by Rochford District council-lors Keith Gordon and Mavis Webster.
Chief executive Paul Warren and businesswoman of the year 2008, Sam Bright also attended the presentation ceremony.
