SMOOTH British jazz guitarist Peter White - winner of the best Smooth Jazz Musician in the 2007 Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards and Best Guitarist at the National Smooth Jazz Awards from 2000-2003 - is coming from his Los Angeles home to visit Southend's Jazz Mix.

Peter White is one of the international jazz scene’s most respected artists, recognised for his versatility and prolific acoustic skills.

He combines elements of pop, jazz and classical guitar to create a sound that’s singular and yet accessible to a broad audience.

Over his 40 year career he has played alongside artists including Al Stewart, Janis Ian and Tori Amos.

At Jazz Min you can expect "a mix of Peter’s original songs and his take on some of the classic songs of yesteryear".

Promoter Mick Crook says “It's a real pleasure to welcome Peter back again to the club after three previous sold out gigs. For this gig we have already sold out the seating allocation in the room so I'm afraid for late comers it's going to be standing room only but I'm sure we'll squeeze everyone in for what's going to be another great night of music.”

Peter will be joined on stage on the night by Carl Stanley on saxophone, Frank Felix on bass, Oli Silk on keyboards, Joe Becket on percussion and Marc Parnell on drums.

Limited standing tickets on the door are £13

It all takes place in the Martime Room at the Cliffs Pavilion on Wednesday March 30.
