A man was punched and had his baseball cap stolen in a robbery in Southend.

The 21-year-old man, who lives locally, was walking near Cecil Court in Jones Close at 8.20pm on Monday, May 25 when he was approached by two men.

One grabbed the victim and demanded property from him. When the victim pushed him away, the suspect punched him in the face before stealing his cap.

Both suspects ran off.

The man who threw the punch was described as white, of medium build and 5ft 10ins tall. He wore a black hooded top.

The second suspect was white, of muscly build with a tanned complexion. He was between 6ft 3ins and 6ft 4ins tall, had mousy blond hair and wore dark clothing.
