RESIDENTS and businesses across the borough are invited to a showcase of public services being held at the Forum this month.

Open Access Southend – a joint initiative between Southend Council and Job Centre Plus – will host over 25 stalls promoting services as varied as Children and Learning, Cycle Southend, Universal Credit and Job Seekers Allowance advice between 10am and 2pm on November 19.

The event will inform businesses of how they can work with the two organisations, inform the public about what they do and explain the wide range of services they offer.

Staff from both organisations will be on hand at the event to answer your questions. They can also explain the projects that are going on and their plans for the future.

Cllr Graham Longley, Executive Councillor for Enterprise, Tourism & Economic Development, said: “Every day, the Council is asked many different questions on the huge number of services we offer.

“This event will bring all of the answers together in one place for businesses and the public to access.”

“This event is a fantastic opportunity for businesses and residents across the Borough to find more about what these organisations do, how they can help you and to forge new connections.

“I wholeheartedly welcome this free event and hope people make the most of this opportunity to network and make the most of the services on offer.”
