POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a serious road collision in Great Wakering which has left a motorcyclist in hospital.
It happened at around 5.30pm on Sunday, July 13, just outside the Co-Op Supermarket in the High Street.
The collision involved a red Ford Fiesta and a black Lexmoto moped.
The rider, a 26-year-old man from the Southend area, was airlifted to Southend Hospital suffering from serious leg injuries.
He was later transferred to the Royal London Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
Anybody who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Ps Mark Yorke-Wade at Laindon Response and Patrol Unit on Essex Police 101.
