TWO women went on a 30-minute crime spree.

Police have released a CCTV image of the pair, who are both Asian and in their 20s, in a bid to track them down.

They are thought to have carried out three distraction thefts from business in Rayleigh and Hockley between 10am and 11am on Friday, May 30.

They first entered The Art Shop, on Rayleigh High Street, where one woman distracted a staff member while the other stole a charity box containing £70.

The pair then moved to Hockley, where they targeted Lily Janes nail and beauty salon, in Spa Road.

One of the women asked to use the customer toilet, but instead entered the staff room and stole £10 from a purse.

The thieves later entered a nearby opticians, a few doors down on Spa Road.

One woman distracted a staff member, while the other leaned over a counter and stole a mobile phone.

They left the optician together and drove off in a green Peugeot 206.

One of the women was wearing a noticeable diamond engagement ring.
