A TEN-YEAR-OLD schoolboy escaped unhurt after being knocked off his bike by a car in Westcliff this afternoon.
The boy, said to be a year five pupil at The Westborough School, was knocked from his bike by a black Ford Fiesta at around 4.20pm this afternoon in Beedell Avenue.
The police and ambulance service attended, temporarily closing the road at the junction with Westborough Road.
Fortunately the boy escaped with no apparent injuries but was taken to Southend Hospital by ambulance as a precaution.
