First published in Southend by

POLICE have released an e-fit of a man they are trying to trace who attacked a man in his 60s.

The man confronted a 67-year-old victim just after he pulled into a parking space on London Road, Westcliff, and got out of his car.

He then struck the victim in the stomach and walked off. It happened at 3.35pm on Wednesday April 16.

The suspect is described as white, at least 6ft 2in tall, with thinning grey hair, a beard and aged around 50 to 55. He was wearing a blue top and dark jogging bottoms with yellow stripes down the side.

Investigating officer, PC Ian Hopgood, said: " If anyone recognises the e-fit or believes they know who this man is I would ask them to contact me at Southend Police Station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Exactly, & it reads like yet another case of the 'victim' being entirely innocent.

I would have a lot more time for these 'victims' if they were a little more honest about what actually happened.

You have absolutely NOTHING to suggest he isn't being entirely honest, except your own bizarre victim-blaming mentality which you showcase in every single crime story on this website

Maybe it's a case of "he who smelt it, dealt it", Lindford - maybe it's super madmax causing all the crimes! ;)

And that entitles him to punch someone then does it ? People get wound up everyday, but don't resort to punching someone for it. He is more likely to be someone suffering from a mental disorder who need putting away before he uses a weapon.

your presumption of the version of events is somewhat less plausible than mine, in my humble opinion....
