POLICE have released an e-fit of a man they are trying to trace who attacked a man in his 60s.

The man confronted a 67-year-old victim just after he pulled into a parking space on London Road, Westcliff, and got out of his car.

He then struck the victim in the stomach and walked off. It happened at 3.35pm on Wednesday April 16.

The suspect is described as white, at least 6ft 2in tall, with thinning grey hair, a beard and aged around 50 to 55. He was wearing a blue top and dark jogging bottoms with yellow stripes down the side.

Investigating officer, PC Ian Hopgood, said: " If anyone recognises the e-fit or believes they know who this man is I would ask them to contact me at Southend Police Station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
