A MOTORBIKE enthusiast says he feels physically sick every day after his bike was stolen for the third time in three years – and his insurance company won’t pay out.

Alex Neophytou, of Lower Road, Hullbridge, said he wakes up every morning feeling ill after losing the £4,200 Yamaha WRX 125 to thieves, who took it from his front drive while he was on a night out.

He said he bought a heavy duty chain and bolted it to the floor after thieves cut through his chain the last time but, although he locks the bike up every day before going to bed, he said he did not do so on the night in question as he hadn’t planned on staying out – and both his brother and mother were in the house.

He said: “It was stolen sometime between 10.30pm and 12.30am. When I got home it wasn’t there.

“Whoever did this has got some balls, because my brother was watching TV with the window open, they could see someone was in.

“But it’s a bike with an immobiliser, so they can’t even use it.

“It’s got to be in pieces now but, because it wasn’t chained up, the insurance company isn’t paying out.

“I wake up every morning feeling sick – I can’t even eat without being sick, because I’ve got that feeling in my stomach.

“It’s a horrible feeling to have something taken from you repetitively – I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.”

He added he was now struggling to pay the remaining £1,500 he owes on finance for the bike because of the taxi and bus fares he must rely on to get to work.

“I’m going to ask them if I can reduce the payments,” 22- year-old Mr Neophytou added.

“But that will only make it cost more in the long-run. It’s left me a bit stuck.”

Anyone with information about the theft of the bike, which took place on April 13, should contact Essex Police on non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
