a few years ago I went to a nightclub and was reluctanly dragged onto the dancefloor beneath 2 enormous speakers. I thought I was going to have a heart attack the vibrations actually made my chest hurt. I am sure if someone who had an underlying heart problem would of had one there and then. I could not stay on the floor. RIP Mark, what a sad loss.

Condolences to his family

However I do wish jounalists could get it right.
A heart attack is when the heart muscle dies as not enough blood is getting to it. A cardiac arrest is when the heart stops beating and can be caused by many things such as irregular electrical activity or blood loss. A cardiac arrest can occur as a result of a heart attack BUT it is NOT the same thing!

Awful thing to happen, and his parents must have been devastated.

I can only assume he must have had an underlying condition he was not aware of ?

this is not the time to pick holes, however most people understand the term heart attack, not many realise that a cardiac arrest is different, as not many people have been to medical school or undertaken such training

I work at Cecil Jones College and had the pleasure of working with Mark. He was an amazing young man who was always polite and courteous. My heart goes out to all his family & friends, I can't imagine what you must be going through. Such a tragedy, it's heartbreaking. R.I.P. Mark

As someone who went to school with Mark and was in several classes with him I find your post insensitive, if you have a problem with the wording of an article maybe next time do not post this when someone of such a young age has died so suddenly. R.I.P Mark x
