DETECTIVES want to talk to a dog walker who may have witnessed an attempted rape.

The attack took place in Shoebury when a teenage girl was walking through an alleyway near Shoebury Park shortly after 5.0pm on Wednesday, October 24.

She was pushed to the ground, causing her to black out and awoke to find a young man on top of her.

The girl, who lives locally, managed to push her attacker off. A dog walker then passed her and inquired about her welfare.

This man is described as black, aged approximately 50, was wearing a black jacket and blue jeans. He was walking a white "staffy’.
