Comedian Frankie Boyle has pulled out of gig at Cliffs Pavilion this Sunday

Frankie Boyle cancels Southend gig
Comedian Frankie Boyle has pulled out of a gig in Southend at the last minute.
Fans received emails from the Cliffs Pavilion stating the event, due to be held this Sunday, was postponed.
It has been rescheduled for Monday, November 5. No reason was given as to why it was postponed but the controversial comedian has recently hit headlines as he is suing Mirror Group Newspapers for libel over an article that described him as "racist comedian Frankie Boyle".

I have never been one to pander to the PC brigade and it is good that we still have freedoms in this country that allow us access to work from comedians, like Frankie Boyle, who are not afraid to create performances that may cause some people to take offence.

Of course I do not expect special treatment from other posters because I am gay. I find the very notion quite ridiculous. The reason I make it clear that I am gay is that it is sometimes relevant in so far as my experiences are those of a gay man in a largely straight society and I prefer that people should be in no doubt that I comment from that perspective. I usually make no reference to my sexuality but am aware that my user-name might give a clue.
