Wossy's latest celeb in Southend filming date
TV star Jonathan Ross became the latest in a long-line of showbiz stars to visit Southend yesterday.
Chat show king Wossy joined celebrity chef Jamie Oliver to film at Jamie’s cafe which has been set up for a new show.
There was one special onlooker watching filming yesterday, Jamie Oliver’s mum Sally, who he famously revealed on Twitter earlier in the year had conceived him on Southend Pier.
She said: “I took the chance while Jamie was filming here to take bit of a trip down memory lane. “My dad used to have a little boat that we used off southend and I can still remember the slot machines and the What the Butler Saw and the rides. All great fun and I still have relatives in Leigh.”
Jamie is filming his new show with pal Jimmy Doherty for Channel 4. Jamie and Jimmy’s Food Fight Club will be screened in December and feature other famous faces which have so far included Gary Barlow, Alan Carr and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Who really cares? No wonder that there is a complete generation of planks that aspire to be 'celebrities' when even the local rag gives creedence to them/it attending a cafe! What next: celebrity opening of an envelope?
This *is* news. High profile celebrities visting our town.

notinwestcliffanymorLet's put this into perspective: We have a cook who has mates down for a cuppa - this alone has the pier shut and entrance refused to the local taxpayer - and his mates include a chat show host, (interviewer) an actress and a singer. Why are we supposed to be thankful???

Just a bunch of z-listers kissing each others......
Try finding a local hero that gives something back to Southend...try to put Cheryl Cole out of your mind and get on with your lives.
