Police appeal for information after crash in Basildon

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a car crash in Basildon left a woman with a broken arm.
At about 2.25pm on Monday (October 15) a collision involving four vehicles happened at the junction of Clay Hill Road and Swallowdale.
It involved a white Ford Transit van, a green Toyota Corolla, silver Peugeot 206 and a red Nissan Micra.
The drivers of the Micra and the Transit van were cut free from their vehicles by the fire service and taken to Basildon University Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Micra, a woman in her 60s, is still in hospital having treatment for a broken arm.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Pc Jason Mowbrey at Laindon road policing unit on 101.
