Vandals trash eight cars across Basildon

VANDALS on a wrecking spree have vandalised eight cars across the borough.
Cars have been targeted in Pitsea and Basildon including Broadmayne, Little Searles, Briscoe Road and Elm Green over Monday and Tuesday.
Some have been set on fire while others have had windows smashed.
Police are now probing the incidents and are appealing for witnesses.

do you really think PC's join the service to sit around doing nothing? it would be far easier just to get a laid back job in the city with no responsibility, no constant abuse, no threat of dangerous driving charges, no complaints for just doing your job? Its not like the money is far better than they would get anywhere else - i earn more in facilities management with no qualifications than the average PC does.
with cuts being made crime will only get worse too.
