No. Not a cyclist. The clue is in the headline and the article.

Where do you get cyclist from?

and at 1235am - ie in the dark after closing time, can I ask how intoxicated the pedestrian was?

This happened outside my house, a young lad was spralled across the pavement crawling about, thinking he was drunk I thought nothing of it until I observed him reaching up and shouting help. I then got clothes on and ran to his aid as neighbours poked there heads out of there curtains. As I attended to him, I realised he had badly damaged his mouth and his face and hands were covered in blood, I can't say whether he was intoxicated as he didn't seem drunk just in a large amount of pain. Neighbours came out and said they'd rang the police as the boy had been knocking on there doors but I got them to ring the ambulance as he clearly needed assistance.
Another case of the 'bystander effect' as no one even made sure he was ok until myself a 19 year old female, went out to aid him. I guess a situation like this has to be noted as a realisation to society that yes, criminals are out there but if there is a young adult moaning and groaning and asking for help you shouldn't just stand and watch.
Had he been more violently injured then he was he could have died from not receiving instant help. The ambulance crew made jokes and a policeman made a correct point that, 'I don't think this is the right time for that' which is the first time I will ever give praise to police.
I hope he's ok and recovers fully, best wishes to him during this time.
