Woman pinned to wall by car Woman pinned to wall by car

A WOMAN was pinned against a wall in a car crash, before staff from a nearby GP surgery rushed to her aid.

The horrifying accident happened in Preston Road, Westcliff , and led to two women being taken away by ambulance.

It happened after a red Ford Fiesta and a silver Mercedes collided at the junction of Canewdon Road at about 3.15pm yesterday.

One woman pedestrian, aged 24, was left trapped between the Fiesta and the wall and had to be released by firefighters.

The commotion was heard by staff at the Globe Surgery, in Preston Road, who rushed out to help the injured. Wendy Arthur, 45, who has been with the surgery for four years as senior receptionist, said: “We heard the car hit the wall, I was in the doctor’s room and I heard screaming so I just ran down.”

Sounds horrifying. I do hope the young lady only endured minor injuries. I’d hate to think if it was a small child walking home from school who was pinned as it would have been at face height rather than leg height….

Poor lady she must have been terrified. Hope she wasn't hurt. Good of the doctors surgery staff to come out to help.

Poor, poor woman. I sincerely hope she is ok and her injuries aren't serious. A carbon copy accident happened to me in 2009 and weirdly I am sitting in hospital as I type having had another operation on my very damaged leg. I hope she is ok and makes a very speedy recovery. If anybody knows her, please tell her she has my sympathies as I know what she's going through xx take care ****

Aww you're very welcome xx thank you for writing back to me. How are you doing? I hope you are out of hospital now? It was my partner that spotted your story, it made me go cold when I read it- such similar circumstances. I sincerely hope you are ok and you make a speedy and full recovery xx
