I know several people that applied for tickets to see him but I dont know anyone who has got one. I wonder how many were sold to the general public?

I applied for tickets and got them....as the cliffs holds just over 2,000 people I guess most of those were on general sale

He did make some good films though, Good morning Vietnam was my Favourite, Mrs Doubtfire gave me the creeps though.
