Updated: Hockley Woods car park closed for five weeks

HOCKLEY Woods car park will be closed for five weeks while it is resurfaced.
Rochford District Council will close it from 7pm on Sunday, September 16 for the essential maintenance work.
During the works, there will be no access for any vehicles belonging to the general public. Pedestrian access is unaffected by the closure.
Alternative car parking will be at the Southend Road Pay and Display public car park opposite the Old Fire Station in Hockley.
The council apologised any inconvenience caused whilst the work is carried out.

If you want to have a nice walk TO Hockley Woods, start at Edwards Hall Park which has free parking and a multitude of routes which include lakes, Bluebells (at the right time of year, amazing views and if you keep going north? leads to Hockley woods.
