Vandal attacks woman and damages cars

A VANDAL went on a crime spree, attacking a defenceless woman and damaging scores of cars.
The man launched a vicious attack on a female resident, punching her in the shoulder. Luckily she did not sustain serious injuries and did not need medical treatment.
He also smashed wing mirrors off cars parked along Guildford Road in Southend as well as scratching paintwork during the hour-long rampage.
A total of 12 cars were wrecked following the attack, which happened on May 7 between 7pm and 8pm.
Investigating officer, PC Ann Bush, said: “We believe this man had been inside a local pub before he committed this crime spree.
“He was just seen to be kicking off wing mirrors and damaging paintwork to nearly a dozen vehicles which had been parked on the road at the time.
“We have absolutely no idea as to why he did this, but he needs to be identified and arrested.”
The man is described as black, in his 20s, about 6ft 2ins tall, of slim build and wearing dark clothing at the time.
Anyone with information is asked to call officers at Southend police station on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

why is this repeat of a story seen last week in the 'Basildon' section when it happened in Southend TWO MONTHS AGO and where's the picture from the cctv that accompanied the original story?
The Echo must realise that the reoccurence of this story will only give terrysays3 the opportunity to express it's rabid BNP/NF/UKIP/EDL manifesto again.....

An hour long rampage - did no-one pick up the phone and dial 999 - the Police station is just around the corner?

The woman did sustain serious injuries to her arm, and is still having physio for it, the police responded relatively quickly, as she was on the phone to them at the time of the attack, but it has taken 2 months for the cctv to be viewed!

l, a dozen.....the Editor should notice these errors when he is checking the junior reporter's stuff......i wonder why this foreigner was so peeved.....drugs, not enough unemployment money, God knows why it's happening all the time.....hope they find him and punish him severely.
