Residents across south Essex are taking advantage of the beautiful autumn season and sharing their scenic shots.
Autumn is considered the perfect season because we don’t need to dread the scorching hot summer weather, sunburns, and the constant pressure to do something extremely exciting because the sunny days suggest you should be outside.
There’s other perks that this season offers.
There’s new TV shows, cosy night ins, investing in a new blanket and the fresh, crisp air.
As we head to the cold, and dark wintry season, it’s time to take out your favourite warm sweater, snug walking boots, enjoy a cup of hot coffee and head out to enjoy the autumnal bliss.
Autumn is the best time for outdoor activities while you admire the scenic red, orange and yellow colours along the streets, parks and even at your garden.
As the day is getting dark quicker, here are some parks and other walks you can visit before the season ends.
Take a nice, relaxing stroll along Lake Meadows in Billericay. Enjoy a walk around the lake and in the field of wildflowers.
And don’t forget to visit the Hockley Woods, the largest remaining area of wild wood that covered Essex during the Ice Age. There are birches, hornbeams and willows lying next to the streams that makes a magnificent setting.
