A second man has been arrested and charged in connection with an aggravated burglary in Hordon-on-the-Hill in which a man was seriously injured and a woman and children were allegedly threatened and assaulted.
It follows the report of a break-in at an address in the Horndon Road area in the early hours of Wednesday, September 27.
It is alleged that the suspects assaulted the four occupants and stole a thousands of pounds in cash and jewellery.
A 36-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries to his head, arm and back.
Mark Bonsu, 24, of Doran Walk, London was arrested in Westminster on Tuesday, October 17.
He has been charged with robbery and possession of an imitation firearm and is due to appear at Basildon Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday, October 19.
Salih Bulbuller, 21, of Homerton Road, Hackney was also arrested for this incident on Monday, October 2 and has been charged with robbery and possession of an imitation firearm.
