CHILDREN were dazzled by astounding performances delivered by magicians at this week’s Magic and Mayhem show at Barleylands in Billericay.

Beloved magicians and entertainers, Skittleman and Colonel Custard, were back at the farm by popular demand. Their electrifying and wild shows brought many smiles to little faces.

Kids had the chance to be magicians themselves, trying their hands at circus acts and tricks such as juggling clubs, hula hooping and diabolos.

The farm also held goat, donkey and sheep races.

Magic and Mayhem is part of the Barleyland Six Weeks of Summer schedule, which promises a new adventure each week for children during the summer holidays.

The event encourages children to head outdoors during the summer to find their own adventure at the park with bug hunting, bird spotting, treasure hunting and a new aviary on offer.

For the adults, drop in to The Village to enjoy some high tea.

The next adventure is Rumble in the Jungle, running from August 21 to 25. Children can meet unique, and exotic jungle animals.

The Snakes Alive team will also be there and they will bring with them some scaly friends.

The last summer event is on August 27 to September 1 which is Barleylands’ first ever family festival.
