COMMUNITY groups in Rochford have been awarded grants to help with various schemes across the district.
Rochford District Council is giving more than £40,000 to support groups as part of a grants scheme.
The money will help 24 organisations which benefit the community in a variety of different ways, including the provision of activities for young people, older people, carers and those with disabilities.
One group, the Active Christian Trust, received £1000 to help run family fun sessions at the Megacentre in Rayleigh.
Jamie Sawtell, Chief Executive Officer, at the Megacentre, said: “The grant specifically supports our Family Fun sessions which the opportunity to learn new skills and a safe space to meet others.”
