Police are appealing for information after a man was stabbed close to Guildford Road, Southend, at around 4.30am today, Friday, March 24.
Officers received a call that a 33-year-old man, from London, was banging on the door of the Guildford Pub, in Sutton Road, and calling for help.
A police spokesman said: "We attended and an ambulance was called after the man was stabbed in the upper thigh.
"The victim walked away from the scene after refusing treatment and there are concerns for his welfare."
