A TOP orchestra will give a special performance at an arts centre.

The City of London Sinfonia orchestra will appear at the Mill Arts and Events Centre, in Bellingham lane, Rayleigh, on October 28 at 10.30am and 2.00pm.

Sinfonia are one of the country’s leading professional chamber orchestras.

The concerts are designed for children aged 2-7 and their parents and carers, and will feature audience participation.

Earlier this month, musicians from City of London Sinfonia held music workshops at four primary schools in the Rochford district.

The shows, called the Lullaby Concerts, are produced by Orchestras Live, a national music charity that brings orchestral music to thousands of people in culturally under-served areas across England.

This year’s Lullaby tour will go also to Clacton in Essex, Lowestoft, Newmarket and Stowmarket in Suffolk, and Stroud in Gloucestershire.

Stuart Bruce, partnership manager with Orchestras Live, said: “We are thrilled to be bringing the Lullaby Concerts to Rayleigh for the first time.

“Over the last few years these interactive concerts have become very popular with young families in this region, and our exciting new show is not to be missed.”

Tickets are available from Rochford Council on 01702 318120 or online at wegottickets.com Find out more about the Lullaby Concerts at orchestraslive.org.uk and at facebook.com/pages/Lullaby-Concerts/454931951347110
