Firefighters tackle fire at recycling centre
TWO fire crews were called to a fire at a recycling centre.
The incident took place after a sorting machine over heated at the centre in Courtard Close, Basildon last night at about 8.43pm.
The crews from Basildon fire station used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire by 9:24pm.
A thermal imaging camera was also used to check for hot spots.
