C2C commuters are being diverted to Upminster train station, due to a broken rail.
A fault on rail tracks between West Ham and Barking means that no trains are currently leaving Fenchurch Street.
Passengers are being advised to take the District Line to Upminster.
A spokesman for the train operator said: “Due to urgent repairs taking place to fix a track defect between West Ham and Barking, train services are currently suspended between Fenchurch Street and Barking.
“You are strongly advised to use Abellio Greater Anglia services between London Liverpool Street and Southend Victoria where c2c tickets will be accepted.
“National Rail engineers are in attendance at the location of the fault and are assessing the repair required to reopen the line.
“c2c services will restart from Barking and Upminster. c2c tickets will be accepted on London Underground, Docklands Light Railway and TfL Rail on reasonable routes and on London Overground between Upminster and Romford.”
