A MAN was rushed to hospital in a critical condition after a heart attack.
The incident took place near Briscoe Primary School, Felmores End, Pitsea at about 12.30pm today.
The man in his 50s was taken to Basildon Hospital.
Emergency services rushed to the scene.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “The East of England Ambulance Service received a call at just before 11.30am today to a report of a man having a suspected heart attack in Felmores End.
“Two ambulance crews, an ambulance officer, volunteer doctor and Herts Air Ambulance attended.
"They treated a man in his 50s who was in cardiac arrest. He was treated at the scene and taken to Basildon by land ambulance in a critical condition.”
