X FACTOR star Che Chesterman insists he will bounce back stronger after forgetting the words to one of his songs on this weekend’s show.

The 19-year-old from Laindon, stumbled his way through his rendition of “Hello” by Adele on Saturday night, after forgetting the words to the song’s opening verse.

Che rallied to finish the song, before going on to give a strong performance of Otis Redding’s, “Try A Little Tenderness.”

The hopeful was relieved to learn that his blunder hadn’t cost him his place, and aims to use the experience to help him get through He said: “I was very upset as I worked very hard to nail this show, and I think the public expected so much more from me.

“I did feel as though I had let everybody down, which was horrible. But it proves we can’t be off our game, and need to be consistent and professional. I was very relieved when my name got called out first on the results show.

“It’s just made me determined for it not to happen again.”

Reflecting on what caused his error, Che believes came to down to responding after being in the bottom two in the show’s previous round.

He said: “Looking back, I think what happened on the Sunday before was playing on my mind.

“There was also something quite different about “Hello” song, as it was my first massive, current one. It was a hard song, but those doubts are no out of my head, and I am ready to go again for the next round and to prove to people I have what it takes.”
