A burglar kicked open the front door of a house on Canvey and climbed out of a window after stealing jewellery.
Police have released an efit of a man they want to identify in connection with the break-in, which took place in Sanders Road just before 2.40pm on Wednesday, May 6.
After the door was kicked open, the home was ransacked, jewellery was stolen and the suspect climbed out of a first floor window.
Police want to identify the man in the efit, who is white, aged in his 20s and about 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins tall.
He was of medium build, wore a blue puffa jacket and black jogging bottoms with paint marks, and carried a black rucksack.
