A PAIR of brothers wanted in connection to more than 30 burglaries across the south east, including nine in south Essex, have been arrested and charged by police.

Warren and Westley Linned, aged 35 and 37 respectively, are suspected of burgling six licensed premises in Southend, Benfleet and Rayleigh within 24 hours in February.

They are then thought to have hit again in Leigh two weeks ago, and twice more on Sunday, March 22.

They were listed as wanted by police on March 4 for recall to prison and burglary offences.

Westley Linnen, of no fixed address, was charged with a burglary in Benfleet, another in Harlow, two burglaries with intent to steal in Aveley, one charge of assaulting a constable, one charge of possessing a class B drug and another of possessing a class A drug.

He is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court today.

His younger brother, Warren, also of no fixed address, was charged with burglary in Harlow, burglary with intent in South Ockendon, one count of possessing a class A drug and another count of refusing or failing to provide a class A drug.

He appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court on Saturday.
