A FORMER member of boyband Westlife will visit Southend next week.
Singer Shane Filan will sign copies of his autobiography, My Side Of Life, at the Victoria Shopping Centre, Southend, on Friday, November 21.
Centre manager Dennis Baldry said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming Shane to the Victoria Shopping Centre.
“It’s great for the centre to have such a high profile book signing.”
Filan, originally from Sligo, in Ireland, was the chart-toppers’ main songwriter and, along with Mark Feehily, lead singer.
He released his debut solo album, You and Me, last year.
Fans took to social media to express their delight, with the shopping centre’s Facebook status about the visit being “shared” more than 100 times.
The event is organised by WHSmith, in Southend High Street, but will be held upstairs in the shopping centre, opposite, at 3.30pm.
Fans are warned celebrities attending book signings organised by WHSmith will only usually sign books bought at the store.
