Man police want to speak to in connection with the theft.
Police in Southend have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the theft of an elderly woman’s purse.
The incident happened at BHS on the High Street between 1.55pm and 3.15pm on July 22. The victim, a 90 year-old woman, noticed her purse had been removed from her handbag.
Her bank card was later used to withdraw £300 in cash and used to pay for items in shops nearby to the value of almost £1000.
Anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV is asked to contact Pc Marc Cann at Southend Police Station on 101.
Essex Police released the picture today.
